An Experimental Study on Transient Response of a Hybrid Thermoelectric–Photovoltaic System with Beam Splitter

In the current study, electrical responses of a thermoelectric (TE) module and photovoltaic (PV) cell are investigated in three different systems, namely, PV-only system, TE-only hybrid TE-PV system with beam splitter (TE-PV-BS), under variable solar irradiations demonstrating partly cloudy weather conditions. To enhance deployment energy, predesigned combined amorphous silicon TE PV is used experiments. The impact spectral splitting technology on conversion performance studied compared to systems. output parameters obtained for they discussed detail. results this work show that power generated by has stepwise fluctuation similar variation concentrated radiation. Affected its heat capacity, monotonous module. moreover indicate there more TE-PV-BS than system. comparison, produces Furthermore, generates higher stable showing significant advantage spectrum management concept.
